So, lets see I am about 2 weeks behind with this still trying to finish up with Chicago and all. On 8/12 we flew back from Chicago out of O'Hara and it was pretty funny because a lot and i mean a lot of people were on stand-by. I told my family if they offer some sweet deal to take a later flight or the next morning I was all for it and they all agreed. Nothing ever came about so we took off at 7:15pm their time and arrived back home at 10:30pm our time. I got home and unpacked and crashed til the next morning.
The following day my friend invited me to the Angel game that night vs. the Mariners. I was all excited, Diamond Club seats and the Angels it just doesn't get any better than that. Oh wait, if they could have won that would have been better, 7-10...stupid bullpen!

Great America!!!
So, on Monday 8/11 I took my cousin Allyssa to Great America which was in Gurnee about an 1 1/2 away. We got there a little after 10am and hit Superman 1st it was weird and felt like you were flying. We went on Batman and Iron Wolf a couple of times. We rode in the very front on Iron Eagle and I was cursing like a sailor going up because the drop is so steep you don't even see the track. Oh, and the best part we wasted 3+ hours waiting for the new ride The Dark Knight it was about a 30 second ride...that sucked!!! In all, we had a great time and the best part we had a funnel cake sunday!!!
Downtown!
...I'm now almost a week behind with this, so anyway last Friday the 8th we took the express train downtown in the morning to Chicago for the day. It was so nice down there not to packed with people and we walked all around there. We hit Millennium Park, Michigan Ave., and Rush St.(no drinking it was to early)!!! We grabbed popcorn from Garret's(yummy!) and ate at this dim sum placed called Wow Bow, it was really good and cheap. Did some shopping at Nordstrom's Rack and TJ Maxx.

Flyers...
We headed out to the Schaumberg Flyers game where they were playing the Kansas City T-Bones(insert joke here!). I had gotten tickets thru their website and got right behind the dugout and we all had a lot of fun, to bad the Flyers didn't show up because we left in top of the 7th they were already down 9-0....oh well!!!!
Chicago Baby!
This past week I was in Chicago with my family and had such a blast and miss it already. I lived in Chicago back in '98 for a couple of years and this was actually the 1st time since then that I had some time to look around. We hit the outlet mall on the 2nd day and we all spent way to money there but, had a rad time doing it. We ate at Cheesecake Factory for lunch then headed to the baseball game...
Giordano's...
So, last Wednesday morning I left at 6:45 out of John Wayne for Chicago with my mom, aunt, and cousin. We arrived at O'Hara Int. Airport at 12:45 and dropped off are luggage at my cousin's house and went to go eat. We had Portillo's for lunch and for dinner we went to the famous Giordano's where we ordered a couple of pizzas and beer. It was so yummy...

Free Pizza!
Ok, this week has been a pretty good one and it continued yesterday when the manager from Pasta Bravo came to our building and talked to Heather letting her know that there was free pizza today. So, Heather told me and we decided to head down there at 11am before the lunch crowd. When we got there it was not quite done so we waited about 10 minutes but, it was worth it...it was free!
