The Motel Life

This past Saturday I went with my cousin and her fiance to this place in downtown Upland called The Wire. We saw Dave's cousins band, The Motel Life play and they were pretty good and there was a good crowd there to see them. After we went and ate at Corkey's(yummy!) and went back to my aunt's house and Dave and I were playing around on the computer and we went on the KROQ to find what concerts are coming out and we saw that Slipknot was playing Coheed & Cambria and we were like to 2 school girls and we had to go. So, we got tickets 3/10/09 at Citizens Bank Arena in the club level, section 104...hell yeah!!!

Ducks vs. Bandwagon!

Last Sunday on 12/14 I took Jimmy to the Ducks game vs. Wild(tickets I won) in the Club section. They were great seats and had a great time but, the Ducks still won 4-2. That following Tuesday 12/16 we went back to the pond to see the Rangers and it was a blast. There were more Rangers fans making noise then any of the bandwagon(I mean Ducks fans). The Rangers won that game 3-1, nothing like East Coast team coming in and showing what true hockey fans are!

...and the winner is...ME!

OK, first off I have been slacking on my blogging I don't know if it's because I have been busy or just lazy(I think it's a little of both). Anyway, a couple of weeks ago we had our holiday party at the Island Hotel to eat and drink our weigh in alcohol. It was a lot of fun with all of my Friends and co-workers and I won a Ducks tickets on the Club level and framed picture that I ended up selling. After the party it moved to the Yardhouse but, before we went there we had to ship Rita to Laura's couch because she had way to much to drink. After that Jon and I headed back down to Yardhouse and hung out there for a couple of hours then went to dinner with our other friend Paige.

2 games this weekend...

This past Friday I was invited by my friend to Ducks/Preds game at the Pond. I always never pass up free tickets and especially if there is a chance to watch the Ducks lose, I'm there! It was a great game and the Preds won in OT 4-3. On Sunday I got to go watch my Kings play the Ducks and it was crazy at the Pond. There was one fight great hitting the only bad part was that we lost 2-0 to them. In all it's never a dull weekend when you can score free tickets!!!

Ducks vs. RedWings

This past Wednesday I went to the Ducks game and the pond vs. the Redwings. It was a great game lots of hitting a couple of fights on the ice and in the stands. A couple of Wings fans in the section next to us tossed some octopus on the ice it was great except the Ducks won in OT4-3.

San Diego

This past weekend I headed down to SD for the weekend for my friends sons birthday. I got there Friday afternoon round 12:30 and Dar and Junior were finishing up setting up for the day and I helped with a couple of last minute things. That night we headed over to their DJ karaoke gig they have ever Friday night. All over their friends were there and we pretty much took over the restaurant and patio area. I won a t-shirt from there and after we headed back to the house for the after party and more karaoke. I think I got to bed around 12:30-1:00...

The next morning woke up around 7am and had to finish up on the rest of stuff for the party. Everyone started arriving around 1ish and there were a ton of kids! It was pretty hot that day but, you couldn't tell from the kids running around everywhere. That night Dar set up a screen and wired the TV so we could watch the UFC pay-per-view fight outside. After the fight was over they set up Rockband and were playing that into the late night. So, with all this going on I was drinking way to much and finally around 12ish my body said "no more!!!" So, let the puking begin!!! It sucked and I was pissed at myself because I should know better but, Dar was right there to help. He is a great friend and I apologized to him for this and he was like, no sweat you had a good night...I fell asleep round 1ish...and didn't throw up the rest of the night!

Sunday morning I was fine but, just real sluggish I laid on the coach and watch football all day long til we left for Outback for dinner. I had a blast out there and can't wait to do it again!

Choc Walk 2008

A couple of weeks ago I participated in the Choc Walk that took place at Disneyland and CDA. I woke up around 5am and got there around a little after 6 at the Ihop. I met up with Jon and Jasmine and we headed over to the park to meet up with the rest of our co-workers. The walk started in Disney and went thru CDA and ended in Downtown Disney. It was a great experience and for an awesome cause. My work sponsored all the employees that wanted to do it and I also got donations from my family and friends for the event. The event raised over 1.5 million and I think it's something I'm gonna do every year from now on...

My weekend Sucked!!!

So, on Saturday the Dodgers swept my Cubbies 3-0(thanks for nothing!)to advance to play Phil. Luckily I didn't watch the game because I could not bear it after the 1st 2 games. Instead I hung out with Jimmy and had dinner at Sonic(oh yeah!) and watched Elite XC and saw Kimbo get beat by some hack. On Sunday I had my hockey game at night and got checked(non-check league) into the boards and went left knee first. I was in so much pain and still am, this is the 1st time in 13+ years that I have had an injury like this. What pissed me off even more was the guy that did it never apologized or anything(I'll remember that for the next time we play them). I played the rest of the game and we ended up winning 8-5. When I got home I iced it for the night...

...oh and for the cherry on my crap salad that was my weekend, my fantasy football got killed 105-65!

What a Wii...kend!!!

This past Friday I headed up to spend some time with my cousins and play some Wii. We played all night Friday and Saturday and we even got our parents to play. They were so funny watching them play baseball and tennis. We all went out to dinner on Saturday at a little Mexican resturant close to the house. It always so much fun when I get together with my family weather we're watching TV or going out it doesn't matter.

...on Sunday got invited to the Ducks game to watch a lil preason hockey, the Canucks won in a shootout 2-1....and won the game 5-4. =)

this past weekend...

So, this past weekend we celebrated my grandfather's 75th birthday and took him out to dinner at this place in San Dimas called Pinnacle Pete's(steak place). It was a lot of fun and a ton of food and my grandpa was so happy to have all of his family with him. We got him a Tom Tom GPS system, a framed photo of the family, and 75 lottery tickets...his hand is gonna be hurtin after scratching all of the tickets.

Angels vs. Yankees

So a couple of weeks ago back on the 9th of Sept. my buddy Jon got some tickets to the Angel game and invited me to go. They were some nice seats, Club level...you can never go wrong. Oh yeah, what could go wrong is we get killed 7-1 that night and we sat around all these Yankee fans talking so much crap. I would have said something but, I wasn't in the mood to get my ass kicked...

...Angels/Cubs World Series 2008!!!

Labor Day Weekend...

This past Saturday night 8/30 I was invited to the Angel game against the Rangers and I had so much fun like usual we won 4-3 and Frankie got his 53rd save. On Sunday we headed over to my Aunt's house for a bbq and swimming and it was so nice laying in the pool and catching some rays. The one thing that I have learned over the years is that my family is the most important thing and any time that I can spend with them I will. It sucks not having a girlfriend and as I get older I realize that I want to get to married and have children, I know she's out there just don't know where!

....Oh I completely forgot Jon sold me his Nintendo Wii and I love it!!!

I am so far behind...

So, lets see I am about 2 weeks behind with this still trying to finish up with Chicago and all. On 8/12 we flew back from Chicago out of O'Hara and it was pretty funny because a lot and i mean a lot of people were on stand-by. I told my family if they offer some sweet deal to take a later flight or the next morning I was all for it and they all agreed. Nothing ever came about so we took off at 7:15pm their time and arrived back home at 10:30pm our time. I got home and unpacked and crashed til the next morning.

The following day my friend invited me to the Angel game that night vs. the Mariners. I was all excited, Diamond Club seats and the Angels it just doesn't get any better than that. Oh wait, if they could have won that would have been better, 7-10...stupid bullpen!

Great America!!!

So, on Monday 8/11 I took my cousin Allyssa to Great America which was in Gurnee about an 1 1/2 away. We got there a little after 10am and hit Superman 1st it was weird and felt like you were flying. We went on Batman and Iron Wolf a couple of times. We rode in the very front on Iron Eagle and I was cursing like a sailor going up because the drop is so steep you don't even see the track. Oh, and the best part we wasted 3+ hours waiting for the new ride The Dark Knight it was about a 30 second ride...that sucked!!! In all, we had a great time and the best part we had a funnel cake sunday!!!

Downtown!

...I'm now almost a week behind with this, so anyway last Friday the 8th we took the express train downtown in the morning to Chicago for the day. It was so nice down there not to packed with people and we walked all around there. We hit Millennium Park, Michigan Ave., and Rush St.(no drinking it was to early)!!! We grabbed popcorn from Garret's(yummy!) and ate at this dim sum placed called Wow Bow, it was really good and cheap. Did some shopping at Nordstrom's Rack and TJ Maxx.

Flyers...

We headed out to the Schaumberg Flyers game where they were playing the Kansas City T-Bones(insert joke here!). I had gotten tickets thru their website and got right behind the dugout and we all had a lot of fun, to bad the Flyers didn't show up because we left in top of the 7th they were already down 9-0....oh well!!!!

Chicago Baby!

This past week I was in Chicago with my family and had such a blast and miss it already. I lived in Chicago back in '98 for a couple of years and this was actually the 1st time since then that I had some time to look around. We hit the outlet mall on the 2nd day and we all spent way to money there but, had a rad time doing it. We ate at Cheesecake Factory for lunch then headed to the baseball game...

Giordano's...

So, last Wednesday morning I left at 6:45 out of John Wayne for Chicago with my mom, aunt, and cousin. We arrived at O'Hara Int. Airport at 12:45 and dropped off are luggage at my cousin's house and went to go eat. We had Portillo's for lunch and for dinner we went to the famous Giordano's where we ordered a couple of pizzas and beer. It was so yummy...

Free Pizza!

Ok, this week has been a pretty good one and it continued yesterday when the manager from Pasta Bravo came to our building and talked to Heather letting her know that there was free pizza today. So, Heather told me and we decided to head down there at 11am before the lunch crowd. When we got there it was not quite done so we waited about 10 minutes but, it was worth it...it was free!

National Cheesecake Day!

This morning I found out from one of my co-workers, Greg that today is National Cheesecake Day. So, at the Cheesecake Factory you could get a slice of any of their cheesecake's for $1.50. I was game and asked Heather if she was up for it and she was so, after we cleaned up both lunch's I drove us over there. It was crazy when we got there....we got a couple of seats at the bar after we had a altercation(kinda) with a couple of lady's that could not understand the concept of we got here before you, wait your turn. After all that Heather ordered the banana cheesecake and I had the white raspberry chocolate. It was so worth it!

In-N-Out Day

So, yesterday the 29th we had In-N-Out day at our work where the truck comes to our work and it was yummy! Oh, I had a double/double w/ grilled onions and a grilled cheese w/ spread only, bag of chips and Powerade!!!

2008 Comic Con

So, this past weekend I headed down to San Diego to experience my 1st Comic Con and it was rad. My friends and I left at 7:30 on Saturday morning and went over to QualComm Stadium to take the trolley down to the convention center. There was a lot to see and do and there was so much "free" stuff I got my hands on everything and anything possible. The high light for me was while I was waiting in line to see "Chuck" and the entire cast to do some Q & A for the upcoming season, there was a door I was sitting by and next thing I see is the cast walk right by me to get some fresh air. I started to freak out like a little school girl and just started snapping pictures b/c there was a lot of security around them. After waiting in line for a couple of hours they let us in and I found a seat about 20 rows back. They showed a preview of the season 2 and after introduced the cast, it was a pretty crazy crowd and a lot of fun. We ended up leaving around 5pm and got sushi for dinner. In all I can't wait to do it again in '09...

Sonic....not the boom!!!

So, today my bright idea was to go to Sonic for lunch and I asked Heather if she wanted to do it and she thought it would take to long to get there and we both should not be gone for that long. I understood where she was coming from so, I thought I know who would want to go with me...Alysun!!! She was already when I asked her so we left at 11:30ish and headed out. When we arrived I started ordering Heather's and my meal while Alysun was deciding what she wanted. After ordering and getting the food Alysun was like lets get the banana split blasts so we then waited around for those also. After we got enough food for a small army headed back to work and got back a little(hehe) late but, it's Sonic!

...12:17pm

It's Friday and I got my hockey game tonight at 9:10 and I was suppose to hang out with Chris but, I have not heard from yet. Nothing exciting this weekend trying to lay low before I go to Chicago. I'm gonna have breakfast with my parents on Sunday and besides that sit on my ass and watch lots of TV. Last night I went and checked out this dance studio by my house that has an adult hip hop class that I think I'm going to join. When I left I noticed that they had finally opened the Yougartlard and I was all stoked because ever since my buddy John took to the one by his house I was sold! I think I put ever frickin thing I could blueberry tart, pineapple tart, mango, and peach w/ gummie bears, strawberries, and kiwi...oh yeah it was good!!! Well, enough rambling for today....for now...

Wednesday

So, it's Wednesday around 11:00 am and I'm finished doing all my crap for the day. Debating if I want to warm up my leftovers for lunch now or wait a little bit. Anyways, last night I met up with my parents and had dinner with them at The Lazy Dog by the Honda-Ponda Center. It was nice spending time with them because I live in the OC and they are in the Inland Empire(Upland). I finally got my stimulus check from the IRS which was nice because I can use that for Chicago when I leave in a couple of weeks. I think Jimmy and I are gonna try to skate at the rink again and try not to get caught! After that go hit up Sonic for dinner...I got nothing else except 4 hours left of work for the day!!!

Mo's BBQ

Yesterday after my hockey game Jimmy met me at my house and we went to downtown Huntington Beach to have dinner. We went to Mo's BBQ it was so good like usually I tried the BBQ chicken salad and Jimmy had the chicken sandwich. After we went wandering around and went into Jack's and looked at stuff we couldn't afford. We headed down the pier and hit Ruby's and just had to get a shake and my strawberry/banana was yummy!!!

I finally found Sonic..........not the hedgehog!!!

So, for the past I don't know many years I always saw these commericals for Sonic Drive Thru and their food and drinks looked so darn good. I thought they were all back east because I would usually see them during Nascar races. Anyway a couple of months ago my aunt told me that there is one around Anaheim but, she didn't know exactly. I had to find out where this place was so I Mapquested it and saw that it was off of Lemon and something(little to excited that there was 1 near so kinda just glanced at the directions). Fast forward to last night my buddy, Jimmy and I went skating at Disney Ice(1st time in over 10 years getting kicked off the ice for not paying) and we were trying to figure out what we wanted to eat for dinner. I had mentioned that there was a Sonic somewhere in Anaheim and he was like "lets go find it". So we took off and headed north I knew it was off Lemon but, didn't know the other street. Then just before we hit Orangethorpe there it was like White Castle for Harold and Kumar we had found it!!! We pulled up to order our food and it was Christmas morning for us didn't know what to order took almost 15 minutes to decide but, time was not a factor. Oh, I got a Supersonic cheeseburger, lg fries(you could get tots also!!!), and lg cherry limeade...yeah my life is now complete...ok, almost complete!

4th of July....

With tomorrow being the 4th of July I was think this will be the 1st time in a couple of years that I'm not doing anything and it's kinda depressing. The last 2 years I went to Disneyland with my girlfriend and our parents but, since were no longer together I have no idea what to do. I asked a couple of friends what they're up to and they are either spending it with family or their friends. With gas prices sucking so bad I don't really want to drive up to my parents house just for the day. My friends from San Diego are coming up on Saturday and gonna have a pool party at their aunt's house in San Clemente which should be a blast. It's just weird how different a year can be and how you have everything all planned out with someone and, just like that it's gone.......

Me Ple...

So, on Monday I was at my desk on the phone with my vendor Take-A-Break and an email popped up for tickets to the Angels game for that night. I was so excited because we rarely get emails so I knew who ever responds 1st gets them, so while I was on the phone I typed "me plese" thinking I was typing "me please". I waited a couple of minutes to see who won and then I got the email I was waiting for that said"ok, they're your!" I was all stoked that I had won and ran down to go pick them up. I called my cousin, Lyss to see if she wanted to go and of course she did and then called her sister Samantha(Sam) and she was gonna bring her boyfriend. The seats were great 3rd base side section 211 Field row D seats 1-4. It was a lot of fun going to the game with family and eating a crap load of food...to bad the Angels didn't show up for the A's we loss 6-1...=(

flirting...

So, today I went out to lunch with Jonathan and Rita and we got into a conversation about flirting. Jon and I were trying to explain to Rita that all women flirt intentionally and unintentionally. She did not believe us and still doesn't, so we told her to ask her friends and see what they say. From there I went into how every guy's girl-friend(not girlfriend) at one time he was attracted to her or vise verse. Rita almost fell on the floor because she thought we were "dorks, goobers, nerds" and some other names. So, she asked us then "are you attracted to me" and we were like "yeah" and she couldn't believe it and thought about all of her guy friends and started making that vomiting sound, it was pretty damn funny.

time fly's when your sitting at your desk blogging...

I can't believe that next week is already July and I don't have any plans for the 4th...yet, besides we get that day off!!! I'm heading down to San Diego the last weekend of July to hang with my friends and go to Comic Con(don't ask, not my idea!). I'm taking the train down and with my AAA discount it's only $32 round trip. Also, the following week I'm flying out to Chicago for a week to visit my family with my mom, aunt, and youngest cousin. I planned out our whole itinerary for the week, pretty funny got a baseball game to go to, Great America(six Flags), and the rest of the time shopping, eating, casino's(in any order)!!!

Rant rant RANT rANT RanT!!!

Can someone please explain to me how on July 1, the new cell phone law will go into affect where they will cite you for being on your cell phone without a hands free device. So, now the police are going to enforce this like they do for people driving in the carpool lane with only one person. People making illegal turns and running red lights. I barely see them around and I work right by a Police Station. I work right across the street from Fashion Island and everyday it's I'm in the game Frogger trying to not to get hit by the cars that don't stop for anyone and I talked to a Motorcycle Officer about a year ago and he said they are gonna be at the crosswalk daily to cite people for not stopping for pedestrians crossing to the mall. I must be blind because I have not seen a ONE since that conversation!

Holy SH...ark!!!

So, yesterday I was sitting at home sweating my ass off and my mom called me round 10:00am and ask what I was up and if I wanted to head over to my aunt's house and go swimming with everyone for the day. I was not gonna pass that up so my mom told me that my cousin was leaving in bout 20 minutes so to meet her at her house. As we were heading up the 57 north freeway to Upland my cousin spotted which looked like a shark in the back of a pick up truck. I told her to get as close as she could because I had to get a picture of this. After taking the picture it sure looked like Brutus from Finding Nemo....you decide???

Gin-n-Juice!

So last night I had my 1st gin-n-tonic in my life and it was half bad, I usually drink long island ice teas or Corona's. Nothing exciting going today I ordered some new RBK8 skates that I got in today which I'm excited about using for my next game.

Gas Gas Gas

I just love gas prices going up, up, up, and away(oh wait that's Superman). It was funny how gas would go up maybe .02-.05 a week now it's like .10 each week. I pretty much drive nowhere now besides work and hockey. I just filled up yesterday not even a full tank and it was $55 I was super excited about that. I tried looking into the bus schedule but, I would have to change 3 times and get up almost 2 hours earlier to get to work. What a joke and carpool is out of the question because I get her earlier then anyone(besides Heather who I work with). I hate filling up!!!

Thursday...

So what to write and ramble on about in my so much fun adventureous life. Last night I went out to find a pair of DARK demin jeans so I would not be sent home again for wearing a pair that is to light/faded. I went to Marshall's(shop there way to much!) and found a pair of Analog jeans that I was quite excited about. After I went to Target because lets face it you can always find something there. I went looking for an HDMI cable for my TV and found one made by Belkin that was pretty cheap and now I know why. I will be now returning it in the near future. I wanted to be home in time to watch Top Chef reunion show because I was ready for a nice train wreck of questions to everyone but, there were no fights or name calling....Damn!

So it begins....

Well, from one person(Heather) to another everyone keeps asking me " do you have a blog?" So I thought what the hell, I know there are more people out there that want to read the ramblings of a 32 year old wondering every day why things are the way they are. So, today is a warm day in June and just got back from lunch. I'm a couple of months away til I leave for Chicago to go visit my family for a week. This is all new to me so if this comes out like a 2-year old learning how to talk...then I appoligze.

So where do I begin or start either way...oh well on with the show!!! I am currently living in Huntington Beach, CA and rent a room from this nice family in a 4-bedroom house. I take PCH in to work every day because I would rather stare at the ocean then sit on the freeway looking at parked cars. It takes me bout 20-30 minutes to get there which is nice and quiet when I leave in the morning. I work til 4:00 and most of the time when I get home I fall asleep on my big blue chair. I don't like to drive around because of the gas prices going up, up, up...you get the picture. I try to hang out with my friend Jimmy once a week but, it's tough because he works by the Main Place Mall(not a fun drive to get there). My other buddy Chris I will usual see once a week, it's a lot easier because he's in college. I play ice hockey up at Westminster Ice Palace once a week, I've been playing hockey for over 13 years now( one of these days I might actually get good at it).
